Santa Fe influence

an arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. so when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it´s going to launch you into something great. so just focus, and keep aiming.

All of you know how much I ❤d my experience in Santa Fe. What I also have realized, is how much the Santa Fe culture has incluenced me in my clothes and things that I like. It's a really curious culture, a mix between indian, american and mexican cultures, and it´s really nice!
Plus, it´s going to be with me FOREVER in my skin
 {actually not just my skin, also in C❤'s and S❤'s skin}

So I would like to share with you some things to die for, all of them influeced in this culture as much as me!
Check them out, and have your credit card close to you!

just let new mexican culture influence you!

Baby Bump bff

Sometimes, when I'm shopping and I walk through the pregnancy area, my first thought is: what the fuck am I going to wear I get pregnant?? I don't use to like ANYTHING.
And I'm sure this is a problem for a lot of women, I mean, when my old sister was pregnant of my nephew {love u both}, she couldn't fund any kind of clothes there to wear. And as ever, the key was in front of us: your boyfriend closet!
I mean, any pregnant woman is getting pregnant in, at least for me, a very lucky time, because of the trends now. Everybody wears leggings, and leggings is the most comfortable cloth EVER, and that's what a pregnant woman needs, so the key is really simple:
LEGGINGS + ANY TOP CLOTHING FROM YOUR BOYFRIEND CLOSET!

ps: i'm sorry for all these time away from the blog, i'm in midterms in my university, and i'm really busy with the santa fe independent film festival, i promise i will tell you EVERYTHING about it!!

pps: nooo, im not pregnant.

Valentine's Day: KIDS!

We said before that Valentine's Day is the day of the love, but you don't feel love just for your couple, you feel love for so many people!!!
And one of the person on your life that makes you feel really really love, is your kid!
I've heard that when you raise your child between love, and you show them how much you love them, and teach them to show their feelings, they will grow up without complexes, expressing their feelings, they will be much more creative and, at least, they will have always good feelings, putting aside the envies, the hate and all that. I don't mean spoil them & become them in wayward children, opposite: a good education is the best show of love.
So, what best celebration that Valentine's Day to make everything about love, hearts, kisses & flowers??
Here you have some ideas to make your kid participate of this day, much more original than call a nanny and go out to dinner with daddy, right?

{surprise your kid with this special lunch, im sure you could put the food that less he/she likes, that he/she will love it!!!}

{easy artwork that will be magic for your kid}

{the best Valentine}

{the best excuse to baker!}
{easy cards & tags}
Another way to make them participate, is the closet!

So many options!!! But I think you get it!

ps: say your kid that Scooby Doo Doooooooooo ❤ you!

They're never enough!! Jeans

Jeans never get old! And if they're old, I'm sure you wear them more than never, that's what I do!
Buying jeans means having clothing for years, that's why they're a good investment!
These are just some of my fav jeans brands:

 {JBrand. Love this brand,  these jeans are high quality, and they have so many designs}
 {Victoria Beckham. Love this brand because of its variety too!}
{Abercrombie & Fitch. Amazing jeans!!}
{Original jeans. Doesn't matter the brand, love when people dare to wear different jeans, like print jeans.}

And one of the best things about jeans, is that the whole family can wear them! What a cool thing, I don't think there's not another thing that you can say that about!
 {for your boyfriend}
{& for your little one}

Hands up who doesn't have jeans!

What's the Xmas color? coloRED!

Too much time has passed since Ihave talked about Xmas with U, and it's December!!
And, we're in December, it's clear: you should wear red! And your home should wear red too! And your baby, and your outfit, your hair even! hahaha Well, I'm exaggerating, but truth is that I love red, so, what excuse is better than Xmas to use it??
We're going to use it in the home!
This one is a very cute idea for your room. Just three colors: Red, Black & White!
This is a very stylish kitchen!! Maybe not a good idea if you like eating between hours!!
Love this living! But maybe, I'll use this decoration for a store, or for a cafe, for example, better than for home!
Cute (L)

Coming back to the kitchen!

Red Velvet Cake!
This is a very easy recipe! All of U know that I'm not a good cook, so trust on me!
What U need:

  • 1 cup vegetable shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 2 ounces red food coloring
  • 2 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • White frosting (for the whit frosting you need 2 tablespoons flour, 1 cup milk, 1 cup unsalted butter, 1 cup confectioners' sugar an 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
 Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the shortening, eggs and sugar. In a separate small bowl, mix together the cocoa and food coloring. Add the paste to the shortening mixture. Sift the flour and salt together over parchment. Add to the batter alternately with the buttermilk in 3 additions. Add the vanilla extract. Fold in the baking soda and vinegar. Pour the batter into 2 greased 9-inch cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until an inserted cake tester comes out clean. Let cool on a cooling rack. Invert the cakes from the pans.
 Frost the top of the first layer with frosting and set the second layer on top. Frost the entire cake with remaining frosting.
And, for all of U who doesn't know how to make the white frosting, recipe follow:
 Frosting: Over medium heat, cook the flour and milk until thickened. Let cool. In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour mixture.
And voi-lá, there you have your Red Velvet Cake!
Now we have red home and stomach, outfit turn!
Let's see some outfits where the red is the main character!! Take note ;)
