DIY: rings jeweler

Maybe you are a rings freak, and find yourself in a big trouble: you have so many rings that you're afraid to lose one in your collection.
You can buy a special jewelry box for rings in any cute store, or you can do it yourself!
If you follow this blog, you know that my BFF {E❤} came to visit me last January, and in that month, she turned older. I wanted to give her something special, handmade, by myself, and this was my idea.
It's very easy, you just need to be patient, and you  will be able to create a home, sweet home for your rings!

What d'u need:
{a wooden box}

The rest is anything you want to decorate it. In my case:

{a scarf for outside & a mirror for inside}

{lots and lots of cute things}

And now, you just have to free your imagination!
For the rings, I found that an egg carton was a good idea to keep them: they will not be missed, and it could be a very original idea. So I painted it black.

I used the scarf to cover the box. Inside, I put: the eggs basket and I glued a cute blue necklace. I never wore the blue necklace, I never knew how to wear it, until I found it was perfect for the box! On the top side, I used a black Chanel advertisement to cover, and behind it, I put the mirror. I also put some letters & a ❤.
On the outside of the box, I was gluing cute things I found at home: accessories for the hair, buttons, flowers etc.
And here you have the result!

The box inside:

& the box outside:

Hope you like it!!! And hope to see on your very own jewelry boxes on your blogs, it's a good gift for anyone!

Guess who... am I?

Hey guys!!
Carnival is coming. It's a celebration where you get your own costum and go out to celebrate it. Something like Halloween, but much more celebrated here in Spain.
I'm not going to talk to you about costumes, instead that, let's talk about MAKE UP!
Sometimes, on make up is where we have the best key for a perfect costume. If your make up is perfect, the most of the times it doesn't matter what you are wearing!
And for that, wanna show you some tutorials that a good friend of mine {A❤} shown me.
I've talked to you before about this girl: I think she's the best make up artist EVER!
Look at how she becomes in every person you can imagine!
And, of course, let's start with... ANGELINA JOLIE!

Avatar:

Pocahontas:

Adriana Lima:

or Johnny Depp:

This last one is just a teaser, but I'm a huge fan of the work of this girl!! There are a lot of videos by her on youtube, so if you're interested in any character, look for it, you will probably find it!!
Hope you enjoy trying to copy her!!

ps: I tried (guess who I tried.. hahahahah) and the result was not good, it's all about talent!

Before & After! photo frame!

{sorry for the cell phones pics... all I had in that moment}
How can you turn a boring photo frame as in the first picture, into a totally rock & cute photo frame like this one?

Easy!
What do you need?

Well, here's the necessary materials:

A photo frame (obviously)
A photo
Glue
Scissors

The rest of the materials, are optional: stickers, papers, scrap paper, threads, letters, loops, magazines... WHATEVER YOU WANT.

First of all, I suggest you cover the frame, because if you mess it up or do not like the result, simply remove the paper and you won't spoil the frame. But, of course, you also can paint it.
In my case, I covered the frame with a page of a magazine (truthfully). I used a Chanel advertisement, to be exact.
This is how it looked:

Once you have your covered frame, then you can start decorating!

I suggest you do not stick anything down until you've tried all the possibilities, that way you can choose what's the best!

And... voi-là! This is my photo frame for my baby:

The best thing about doing your own, is that there's not other photo frame like this one!

Hope see your own photo frames guys!! It's worth a try!

Let's Decorate!! Before & After

 {before}

{after}

Everyone (at least, if your a student!) has a cork board at home.
You have two options: you can have a typical cork board (wooden frame, papers, papers and papers)
or you can have a completely inventive, original cork board! That's what I wanted with mine, and I think I got it!!! I mean, I don't think there's another cork board like mine, anywhere in the world. To make it, I used myself as inspiration, and here's the result!
Let's turn your bored cork board in a cheerful and only cork board! Here are some tips to make your very own cork board! What d'u need??
A cork board (obviously), and all the special things that appeal to you!
{in my case, memorabilia: pictures, tickets, stuff that i such as maps, stickers...}

I wanna share with u a detail from my cork board on this close up:

All of u know my love for maps (in fact, I did a post about it), so in my cork board, there's a map where I put points in every city I visit.

Other sources of inspiration to decorate your cork board, are magazines

Sometimes you can find beautiful letters and cute quotes like this one:

Inspiration: Feathers!!

First of all, thanks for all your wishes of luck to me!! I think it worked ;)
With all these aztec ideas on these days, I always think about feathers as inspiration on this style. Feathers always give to your outfit a hippie-boho touch, which I really love!!
Where can you add feathers? Wherever!! The only limit is your own imagination, so just go with the flow!!
These are just some ideas:

On jewelry & accessories:

Clothing!

And lately, one of the trendiest is the feather hair clip!

Truth is that a few days ago, I saw it in a store, and I was not sure about how it would look. I was doing some testing today, and must confess that I really love it!!
Look at these 3 different looks, can't choose!!

{letting your hair down}
{In a braid}
{Hair up}

What's your fav??
Get your own feather hair clip in any store, this one from  Miss Selfridge for example!

Happy & Scary Friday 13th!!!

Hi dear readers!!
First of all, wanna wish to all those fans of horror films (like me) a happy Friday 13th!!
This day is a good excuse to dust off your horror movies and see all of them!! Today I'm going to recommend u some of these films (althought I'm still waiting for that movie that really scares me).
But before, wanna share with u a very simple tip.
If you are a true lover of rings, I'm sure u see them in every store you go into, and not just stores, and sometimes, they are not of the best in quality. As time passes, or sometimes, when you wet them, you are surprised by them: they stain your fingers!!
Today with this post, we're going to fight against this problem. As I've said, I love rings, and I buy them if a like the design and the shape, not because of their quality, so I have had this problem many times.
Maybe most of you know this tip, but if u don't, pay attention!
We're going to do it with these two rings:

You only need a transparent nail polish.

{Ignore my nails}

Paint with the transparen nail polish the inside of the ring.
Let it dry &...

Go party!
{of course this is not a final solution, and u have to keep doing it often}
or better, as Friday 13th, go to the supermarket, buy popcorn, call your friends and make your living room a cinema! Some recommendations:

I must confess that not one of them has really scared me, but I love them anyway!
Enjoy this Friday 13th!!
