What to wear for... Valentine's Day?

I'm not a huge lover of this day, I mean, you should show your love every day. But at the same time, I think love deserves a day to celebrate it, as your birthday or Xmas!

So let's go with this!!!

Last year, I made some special posts for Valentine's Day, and this year I wanted to do a what to wear, or what I would wear.

I bring two options: first one, is a no-official date: you are with a boy, but this boy and you are not a couple {officially} you know, your friends: your boyf is... and you: oooh, he´s not my boyfriend! emmm whatever!

As you ARE NOT a couple, but you are together, you decide to go for a walk this day, or to the theater, NOT BECAUSE IT'S VALENTINE'S, it´s just like any other day,,, right?

Ok, so I always say that leopard print is always the best option, and it is also for spend a day with your bo... sorry! your... special friend?

And the second option, is for a formal date, for the most typical calentine's date: a romantic dinner!

{the little black dress is always a good option, and of course, ALWAYS wear red, because you are in love!}

{again, red HAS TO BE.}

Valentine is coming!

Once upon a time... there was an angel who came once on the year to give us love to share!!

& that's how Valentine's Day was born. Truth is that this is the kind of days we should celebrate every day!!

{typical stuff for Valentine's day: red color, hearts, kisses, sweets, white or red candles, balloons, dates, romantic films, roses, etc}

My idea for this Valentine's day is try to make it over! I mean, what we see in the picture is the most normal, if any of us had to dacorate a house for valentine, we probably would use red color, hearts, candles, etc, and if we have to give a present (and don't be a liar!!), men always think about roses or chocolat.

What about make a different day? Or, at least, something original, or things that we do not see in any store.

That's my objective in all these "special valentine's day", hope to get it!

Another thing: Valentine's day is about love, and love is always about a couple?? WRONG!

Love is ANYWHERE. You feel love for your sister, you feel love for your mother, you feel love for your grandparents, you feel love for your kids, you feel love for your dog, you feel love for life or you feel love for yourself, so it's nos necessary spend Valentine's day just with your boyf!

Superstitions: Red for good luck!

On New Year's Eve, wearing something red is a tradition to start the new year with the best luck!

I'm not sure if it's true, or not, if it works or doesn't but i'm a very just-in-case-team, so here u have some options to that special day! Choose one!

In my case, I think that I'd wear the red in my underwear, accessories, shoes or bag before than in my dress, but a red dress is a very good option too!!

What's the Xmas color? coloRED!

Too much time has passed since Ihave talked about Xmas with U, and it's December!!

And, we're in December, it's clear: you should wear red! And your home should wear red too! And your baby, and your outfit, your hair even! hahaha Well, I'm exaggerating, but truth is that I love red, so, what excuse is better than Xmas to use it??

We're going to use it in the home!

This one is a very cute idea for your room. Just three colors: Red, Black & White!

This is a very stylish kitchen!! Maybe not a good idea if you like eating between hours!!

Love this living! But maybe, I'll use this decoration for a store, or for a cafe, for example, better than for home!

Coming back to the kitchen!

Red Velvet Cake!

This is a very easy recipe! All of U know that I'm not a good cook, so trust on me!

What U need:

• 1 cup vegetable shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
• 2 ounces red food coloring
• 2 1/2 cups cake flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vinegar
• White frosting (for the whit frosting you need 2 tablespoons flour, 1 cup milk, 1 cup unsalted butter, 1 cup confectioners' sugar an 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)

 Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the shortening, eggs and sugar. In a separate small bowl, mix together the cocoa and food coloring. Add the paste to the shortening mixture. Sift the flour and salt together over parchment. Add to the batter alternately with the buttermilk in 3 additions. Add the vanilla extract. Fold in the baking soda and vinegar. Pour the batter into 2 greased 9-inch cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until an inserted cake tester comes out clean. Let cool on a cooling rack. Invert the cakes from the pans. 
 Frost the top of the first layer with frosting and set the second layer on top. Frost the entire cake with remaining frosting.

And, for all of U who doesn't know how to make the white frosting, recipe follow: 

 Frosting: Over medium heat, cook the flour and milk until thickened. Let cool. In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour mixture.

And voi-lá, there you have your Red Velvet Cake!

Now we have red home and stomach, outfit turn!
