Come on birds, Spring is here!!

The first day of the Spring was a surprise {at least here in Madrid}, cause you imagina sun, flowers, birds... and the first thing I saw that day was SNOW. For the first time this year, I saw snow, not in winter, not, the first day of Spring. A little crazy, I know.
But our spring spirit is the same, so today, let's see some birds for clothes, for home & for life!

ps: I'm watching "Inception", so as fast as it ends, I will comment you back. For the momento I don't understand ANYTHING.

Things to do before i die...

Getting tattooed by Ami James.

I don't know if u know him, but he's an artist tattoo, and has a reality on TLC, NY Ink, and before that, he had a reality calles Miami Ink. Both are about people's stories who want to get tattooed, and tha story of that tattoo.

I find him so sexy!!!
And, as all of you know I'm a freak tattoo, I'd like getting tattoed by him, that's a dream for me!!
I have two tattos, one of them is on the header, and the other one is here. And I don't think about stop. I'll have to catch a flight to NY, just to go to Wooster Street Social Club {Ami James' one} and get a tatto by him.

Here you can see some videos that really kill me, because you can think he's a "rude boy" because of his look, but, actually, he's soooo cute!!

Happy thanksgiving day!!!

Guys, time goes by so fast! But not, no so much!
I mean, it's not november.
But so as you have to show the love you feel everyday, not just on VDay, and you have to give gifts whenever you want, not just on people's bday, you also have to feel thankful with people who help you to be better person, or to learn, or to get your dreams.

THANKFUL

That's my feeling fot Teddi {hope you don't mind I had got this picture from your blog, just so cute!!}
For all of you who doin't kno why this post, a short story {hope you don't get bored}
I decided do this blog to improve my English & practice {I'm from Spain, and I'm sure that you have realized that I'm not a native English speaker because of my mistakes}. Someday, I knew Teddi, who alkways commented my posts, and I told her that if she saw any mistake on my blog, "please tell me", so I could correct it and improve.
She alwats sent me a mail with my mistakes, and I learnt a lot from those mails.
My objective was to pass an important English exam, and SO I DID.
So i just can say THANK YOU to Teddi for all her help, I didn't need an English teacher because I had her, and there's nothing I could do to really show her how thankful I feel to her. Just say it here, and make you know it.

THANK YOU TEDDI. ❤ U.

Feel free to eat turkey today, you deserve it!!

It's time to eat!

Lately I live in the kitchen. And no, I'm not locked up, or forced or punished. I just love being there.
Because, if you remember my earlier posts about cooking, I'm sure you also remember that I always said that I was a "poor cook", but lately, I'm learning a lot, trying, trying & trying. Have there been Fails? OF COURSE! But somebody said once, that "the real failure is when you stop trying". That's what happened to me. But, you know what? NOT ANYMORE!
 So here I bring you a new recipe that I tried yesterday. All of you know the keys to my recipes:
easy, quick and delicious. Here you can find the three!

Chocolate Plum Cake

ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tablespoon pure cocoa powder
a pinch of salt

directions

preheat your oven to 180ºC.
grease a plum-cake tin, set aside.
For this recipe, you're going to need a mixer. So, in a bowl {A}, put the 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Mix it up. Add  the eggs {2}, the tsp vanilla and mix it up. Here you add 3/4 flour little by little, mixing up, adding in baking powder and salt. Mix all this up.
Once you have it, put half in another bowl {B}. set aside.
In the first bowl {A}, add in pure cocoa powder and mix it up.
Now, you put in the plum-cake tin a little of the bowl B, now bowl A {whole} and bowl B to finish in the up side.
Bake it for 40-45 minutes. To check if it's done, you can insert a stick in the center of the plum cake, and if it's dry, then it's ready.

Let cool. {I never do...}

xo

ps: sorry for cell pictures... all I had
pps: the quantities I used were for a little plum-cake, but the normal is to make this recipe with the double of everything I used (except salt, vanilla,  baking powder & cocoa. Use the same quantity of these ingredients)

Somebody said...

Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love. But that doesn't mean you love them any less. Sometimes, it even makes you love them more.

My studded wishlist

I'm a huge fan of studded looks! It always gives to any outfit that touch of punkythat any non-punk person needs.

My wishlist today is this one:

{I always like showing you my wishlist because I have such good friends that they always send me something they see here on my blog ;) FALSE}

Studded jackets:

{love them}

And, do you know who's the real King of studded looks?? I'm sure you do it.
Mr Pierre Alexander Claudius Balmain. {R.I.P. genius}
Well, not himself, but he always gave us to women that sexy image that I love: flared skirts with narrow waists.
What we imagine when we think about Balmain in our days is very far from that first collection, but I think, Mr Balmain, you can feel really proud about all the evolution of your brand, cause it's absolutely flawless.

Add studded clothes to your look!! I really love that punky-rocky-pretty touch you get.

A trip in pictures: Carnival

Why are all these amazing toys abandoned???
I'm sure you're wondering exactly that!

Ok, they're not abandoned.
I don't know if you remember that pinky promise I made you some days ago, but I always keep my promises, and even more if they're pinky one!
The picture is, because, FINALLY!!! I have the Carnival pictures!! Better late than never.
Truth is that, this post, is about my friend & her family's costumes. I can do a post about Carnival, with pictures of different people if you want it, but I think they deserve a post just for them, really.

CLARIFICATIONS:
#1 Everything you're going to see is real
#2 Everything you're going to see was handmade by them (toys, clothes, etc)
#3 They told me that this is the year they spent less time working on their costumes (I'm sorry, I don't believe them)

First of all, a little explanation about their costumes: they're children of an English boarding school. Every one of them carries a toy.

{this is the teacher. We could call her "Mrs Rottenmeier"}

{this is the baby one}

{the rest of the kids}

{a close up of one of them}

{a close up of one of my fav toys: the stroller ❤}

{love the bike too!}

{look at me. in the back. totally freaked out}

{firemen!!}

{the best thing is their happiness}

{getting ready!}

{dancing!!}

{last rehearsel}

{Carnival's parade}

{picture with the artist please!!! T❤}

hope you enjoy this post! I'm sure not so much as we did being there, but I hope you enjoy it anyway, and if you have any chance to visit Toledo to know their Carnival, DO IT.

xo

ps: the Carnival's parade you see on the video, is in the little town, where there are not more than 1600 of population. But after this, we went to the big town, Toledo, to the important parade. They finished 3rd in the competition!!! But last weekend, in other town, they finished 1st!!!
